Indian films and Hollywood can Compete in Content : Murugadoss
Film director A.R. Murugadoss is famous for delivering Tamil actioners “Dheena” and “Ramana”. The director says that, “Indian films can compete with Hollywood in the content department but do not have the same kind of market. He says we can’t compete with them in terms of market and it’s quite difficult to take on war films or high budget action movies”.
He further said, ““But we can definitely deliver a product in terms of intelligence and content in a sensible action film and compete with a Hollywood film”. The director started the Rs.100-crore-club trend in the Hindi film industry with “Ghajini” a remake of his Tamil hit of the same name. His next film “Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty”, also a remake of his Tamil film “Thuppakki”, has hit the jackpot at the box office.
