Ileana, after delivering a scintillating performance in Barfi, has signed to act in two more Hindi films to be produced by UTV Motion Pictures. This should be good news to her as she is facing some problems with the Kollywood and Tollywood bigwigs.
In February, Tamil producer Mohan Natarajan has filed a complaint with the Tamil Film Producers Council against Ileana D’ Cruz, alleging that the actress failed to return the advance amount of Rs 40 lakhs that he gave her to act in one of his movies.
However, Ileana is said to be legally correct in not returning the advance, since according to the signed contract, the producer Mohan Natarajan failed to start his film even though Ileana gave the dates. Since the producers film to be directed by Bhupathi Pandyan was being delayed, she accepted to act in Nanban.
In fact, the AP Film Producers Council has already rejected Mohan Natarajan’s plea. Hence, he has now approached the Tamil Nadu Producers Council.
However, in Tollywood, producers and directors like Aswini Dutt and Trivikram Srinivas are said to be unhappy that she did not participate in the promotion of their films Shakti and Julayi respectively. In contrast, she was part of the promotion of Barfi.
