Sensational Director Ram Gopal Varma in an interview with a popular Telugu News Channel NTV, when asked if he is interested to make film Tyagayya with Nagarjuna, he replied that “Hence, I do not believe in God or demon the question doesn’t arise of making such mythological films. But, I make horror films showing devils or demons only to make the people afraid, and not because I believe they are there.’
Continuing the interview he said that, ‘Frankly speaking I am not patriotic, and I never served the society around me, because I am too busy with my work that I have no time to think about all these things. Many people especially Media took special interest in criticizing me for altering our National Anthem in my film. But, in fact I just tried to convey my feelings about our country and its present condition with this song. But, unfortunately it was misunderstood by one and all.’

Speaking about making a film on factionist late Paritala Ravi, he said that, “I am not viewing him either as a good or evil man. I am just interested to film about the dramatic situations that surrounded him.’

When asked about his marriage plans, he said that, ‘I think it would be foolishness if I think about marriage now. I bother about the present day only. I keep working from morning to night on the sets, and have no time to think about any other things now.’
