Actress Taapsee Pannu who made her Bollywood debut with ‘Chashme Baddoor’ will be next in action thriller ‘Baby’ director Neeraj Pandey. The actress says that her Urdu accent helped her in getting a role in this film.
Tapsee got excited when director approached her for a role in his film ‘Baby’ because of her talent.
The director was in search of the actress whose dialect in Urdu was crisp and clear.
The actress said in the statement that, “All Neeraj asked me to do was to read a few lines which had quite a few Urdu words and phrases. Being a Punjabi girl, people expects me to have a north Indian influence in my speech, but to his surprise I managed decently well I guess”.
‘Baby’ also stars superstar akshay kumar in the lead role, along with Rana Daggubati, Anupam Kher Danny Denzongpa and Madhurima Tuli. It will release on January 23.
