Harman Baweja’s Love Story 2050 was released on the same day as Aamir Khan’s Jane Tu…Ya Jane Na. The overwhelming response to the latter sank the former’s prospects at the box office. So, Harman now is wary of release dates.
Harman Baweja’s next film Victory is a sport-based film, with Harman playing the character of an Indian cricket player. Directed by debutant director Ajit Pal, the film is due for release on November 14. According to Bollywood sources, Harman is said to have requested the producers of Victory to postpone its release to November 21.
The reason is reported to be the impending clash with two mega blockbusters releasing on the same date. Karan Johar has announced November 14 as the release date for his Dostana, starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Bobby Deol and Priyanka Chopra, directed by Tarun Mansukhani. UTV has also announced that they will release Fashion on November 14. The film Fashion stars Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Arbaaz Khan and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar.
But still the film Victory may have to face competition even on November 21. The Priyadarshan directed Billoo Barber starring Shah Rukh Khan is slated for release on that day.
However, Harman Baweja need not be unduly worried about his Bollywood career. He has already been signed by ace directors Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Anees Bazmee and Ashutosh Gowariker, even before the release of his now doomed debut film Love Story 2050.
