Tollywood comedian, Brahmanadam, described as one of the best in the category because of his comic abilities and impeccable expressions, celebrates his 54th birthday Today.
Brahmanandam Kanneganti was born on 1st February 1956 in Sattenapalli, Andhra Pradesh. He is an MA (Telugu) and was a lecturer in Telugu in a college in Attili before he made his debut in Jandhyala’s “Aha Naa Pellanta” which has since become a cult classic among Telugu comedy films.
At present, two films “Namo Venkatesha” and “Adurs” are in theatres in which Brahmanandam played full length roles. He recently earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for acting in 754 Telugu films in 20 years. So far he acted in more than 850 films. By the time he retires, which appears not to be in the immediate future, Brahmanandam may become the only actor featuring in 1000 plus films.
Brahmanandam is the highest paid comedian and gis name in the credits is sufficient to draw the audience to the theatre.
Acharya Nagarjuna University awarded Brahmanandam an honorary doctorate. The Government of India bestowed the coveted title of Padma Shri on Brahmanandam for his contributions to art in 2009.
