Gudu Gudu Gunjam has a contrived story which is very badly told.
Parthu (Parthu) is the son of Ram (Rajendra Prasad), a criminal lawyer and his wife (Sitara) dotes on his son. Parthu finds himself in Babgkok and falls in love with Meenaksh (Aarthi Puri). Partu’s mother goes to Bangkok to settle the marriage of her son with Meenakshi. However, she encounters Meenakshi’s aunt Malleeshwari(Kasthuri) who demands that she be married to Ram, father of Parthu. The rest of the story deals with how this tangle is resolved.
Parthu fails to impress. Aarthi fills the glam part. Sitara and Kasthuri are OK. Rajendra Prasad is as good as old times. Tanikella and Chalapathi Rao are their usual selves. Krishna Bhagawan, Dharmavarapu and Brahmanandam carry out their routine comedy.
Director Veeru D disappoints with this film which has no story, form or structure. THe screenplay is poor and drags the narration. Music is so so. Technically the film has nothing much to offer.
Please don’t be excited by the presence of Rajendra Prasad, because Gudu Gudu Gunjam has nothing to offer the audience.
