Four directors join to pay tribute to Indian Cinema
Four directors -Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee – are coming together to pay homage to Indian cinema marking the centenary of Indian films.
These four directors make films of different genres and each of them will make a 20-minute episode on a theme of their choice and in their own unique styles. The total 80-minute film with these four stories is titled Bombay Talkies and is produced by Ashi Dua of Flying Unicorn Entertainment in association with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
Dibakar says his story is about a guy who is looking for a film story and Zoya’s is about the power and influence of film stars. Anurag will deal with the theme of how cinema has become part of Indian culture.
