Five Indian films nominated for Asia Pacific Screen Awards-2008

Asia Pacific Screen Awards-2008 APSA is an initiative of the Queensland Government in collaboration with CNN International, UNESCO and the International Federation of Film Producers’ Associations (FIAPF) Award.

From about 180 films from 43 countries submitted for the awards, five Indian films have been nominated in different categories. The awards for the nine out of the 12 APSA categories will be announced at Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, on November 11.

Shahrukh Khan’s Om Shanti Om was nominated in the Best Feature Film category. Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par and K Kanade’s Mahek will compete for the Best Children’s Feature.

Jodha Akbar has been nominated for Achievement in Cinematography and Rajat Kapoor has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actor for Pryas Gupta’s film The Prisoner.
