The first look of Rani Mukherjee starrer Aiyyaa is released at Cinemax, Versova, Mumbai. The actress plays a Marathi mulgi in the film. It deals with a woman who has her own fantasies, but finds a man desirable because he smells good and falls in love with a South Indian played by Malayalam actor Prithviraj.
The film is based on a Marathi short story Gandha and is written and directed by Sachin Kundalkar. In this film lot of Marathi sensibilities and traditions will form the backdrop of the leading lady’s character.
The film is being jointly produced by Anurag Kashyap and Viacom 18. Music is composed by Amit Trivedi. The film is likely to release on October 12.
Rani Mukherjee won critical acclaim for her performance in her last release No One Killed Jessica. Her film Talaash, co-starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor will release on November 30.
