Film on Indira Gandhi’s assassins held up from release

The movie based on the lives of the killers of Indira Gandhi, the former prime minister of India, has been stalled as the Intelligence Bureau warned the Home Ministry of communal clashes in the nation.

As per the media reports, BJP, the ruling party at the centre has demanded to ban the movie which was slated to release this Friday.

The movie reportedly glorifies the killers of Indira Gandhi and tried to present them as the hero of the community.

Indira Gandhi was assassinated in 1984. Ms. Gandhi was four time PM of India. Her assassination turned turmoil followed by Anti-Sikh riot in and around the national capital that left hundreds died.
