Eros greatly benefits from Bollywood
Growing interest in Bollywood films in Britain and elsewhere has driven profits of film distribution major Eros to a record high, according to latest company figures.
The Isle of Man-based Eros has reported a rise in pre-tax profits by 47 per cent to 45.5 million dollars. Its sales were 70 per cent higher in the last financial year to 113 million dollars.
‘Om Shanti Om’ was one of the films distributed by the company that set the cash registers ringing across Britain this year. In all, it released 18 films during the year.
Eros also reported a strong performance from its television division with sales up more than 56 per cent to 33 million dollars.
