Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has begun shooting for their upcoming film “Kapoor and Sons” which would be directed by Shakun Batra. The film stars Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan and Rishi Kapoor playing the role of their grandfather. It’s supposedly themed on the hidden sexuality of the character played by the younger brother Sidharth and the way he discloses this to his family. Karan from his part has refuted the rumors and maintained that it’s a love triangle.
If it’s true, this movie is one of the very few movies from major film makers on this forbidden theme in Bollywood-and it’s to be seen how this would be accepted by the audience and the censor board. Karan Johar is one of India’s most popular and successful director and producers and is the son of legendary producer Yash Johar. His banner Dharma Productions has superhit films such as 2 States, Agneepath, Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Ghum, My Name is Khan etc to its credit.
