The second venture, yet to be titled, is helmed by Yash Chopra, who is wielding the megaphone after a hiatus of 8 long years. And this film stars Shah Rukh Khan. It has been the practice of Yash Raj Films, since the last four decades, to release every Yash Chopra film on the Diwali festival day. So is the case this year also. The SRK-Yash film, suspected to be a contemporary take on Rajesh Khanna’s Daag, is locked for October 14 release.
Here comes the catch; Ajay Devgan’s home production Son Of Sardar, is also due for release on October 14. But YRF has already booked almost 70% screens for the SRK film, same theatres in which Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger would release.
Will Ajay Devgn shift SOS release a week before or after that of SRK’s film?
