Director Shankar makes only high budget films. His movies are known for high level technology, heavy sets and extravagant making. We have seen this in his movies Gentleman, Jeans, Robot etc. Even at the period when there were only low-budget movies, Shankar made the producer spend crores on his movies. In the present scenario, the average cost of an ordinary movie itself is about 50 crores so one can imagine how much would a Shankar film cost. Presently Shankar is directing ‘I’ with Vikaram. This film will be release in Telugu as ‘Manoharudu.’ The movie is being produced by Oscar Ravichandran. The movie started on well but by the time half of the shooting was completed, the budget had exceeded to an extent where the producer was left with no choice but to leave it. Fortunately for the movie, Reliance Entertainment has taken it over. Now the shooting can progress without any disturbance. This proves that only corporate companies can stand the demands of Shankar.
