Ajay Devgan, after tasting success with Singham, has reportedly acquired the remake rights of Mani Ratnam’s 1992 hit film Gharshana. The script would be updated and brought up to contemporary context and the remake will be directed by Rohit Shetty. Sources say that Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt play the roles of the two step brothers.
Devgn and Dutt are likely to produce the remake in association with a big production house. Sources also say that the Hindi remake will also be titled Gharshana which looks like the Singham sentiment. It is said that Rohit Shetty was instrumental in getting this deal from Mani Ratnam.
Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn will soon be seen in the film Rascals directed by David Dhawan.
