Despite TRS ban call “Adurs” opens houseful
In spite of the ban call given by Kavitha, Telangana Jagruthi president and daughter of TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, the film “Adurs” starring NTR Jr in a double role, got off to a good opening across the state on Wednesday amidst tight security. Except in Warangal, Karimnagar and Adilabad districts where the screening was stopped by the theatre managements, the film ran to packed houses everywhere.
In Nizamabad, Junior NTR fans flocked to watch the movie even as a huge posse of police force stood guard to prevent TRS activists from attacking the cinema. Sources said the fan frenzy was such that Nizamabad MLC and TDP leader Arikela Narsa Reddy encouraged his followers and party workers to watch Adurs by purchasing 100 tickets for the matinee show. Police foiled TRS activists bid to barge into the theatre and arrested three party leaders.
There was a huge turnout of Junior NTRs fans from Telangana in Tirupati . Several fans, fearing attack on theatres by TRS activists in Telangana, came to the temple town to enjoy their hero’s film. “Adurs “ran to packed houses in all the seven cinemas exhibiting the film in the town. The fan frenzy was such that the theatre owners started the show as early as 6 in the morning on Wednesday.
