The hugely successful Indian Premier League will face competition from unexpected quarters. The Indian film industry is planning to launch celebrity cricket league. It will include film personalities from South and Bollywood joining hands.
Actress Radhika’s Raadan, Sprint Telefilms and some corporate entities will make up CCL with Vishnu Induri as the co-founder. CCL will have five teams — one each for Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood, Mollywood and Sandalwood.
The process will start in the first week of December. Of the bidding amount, 60 per cent will go towards the fee of actors’ association. The rest of amount will go as remuneration to the star cricketers.
