Case Filed Against Sunny Leone for Promoting Obscenity Online

Anjali Palan-a leader of Hindu Janjagruti Samithi in Mumbai has filed a case against former porn star turned actress Sunny Leone for promoting obscenity online through her website-which contains obscene images and videos. The complainant said that such easily accessible material would corrupt the minds of children and youth.

A case has been registered under multiple sections of IPC along with the representation of women and the IT act. The case has been registered in Dombivalli police station-Mumbai, and has been transferred to the cyber crime cell for further investigation.

Many of these sections carry about 2 years of conviction and fine if proven guilty-and in Sunny’s case, her individual website and its content are very much undeniable.

Sunny Leone is an Indo-Canadian with Karenjit Kaur Vohra being her actual name. She was a very popular porn star in her career before she quit that field and entered Bollywood as an actress.

Sunny is very popular in India due to her looks, glamour quotient and the hype around her previous career.
