Bollywood stars help to Bihar flood victims
All top Bollywood stars have pledged their support and will help film director Prakash Jha, who is from Bihar, in his 6 month-long rehabilitation programme.
Actors Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar have extended their support to relief and rehabilitation of the people who have lost their homes in the disaster. Akshay Kumar has already sent a cheque for Rs 25 lakh.
The actors who have connections with Bihar like Shatrughan Sinha, Shekhar Suman, Manoj Bajpai, Manoj Tiwari and Neetu Chandra have come forward to give a helping hand.
Jha has set up a relief camp called Punarwaas at Kataiya in Basantpur panchayat, which is about 40 km from Supaul district headquarters. Spread over 40 acres, it will take care of food, clothing, health care, sanitation, education and eventually rehabilitation of over 5,000 people over a period of six months.
