Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuh has a song Mehngai that revolves around the political and economic situation of the country and also has mentions of many industrialists of the country like Tata, Birla, Ambani and so on.
Taking objection to this, a legal firm, on behalf of M/s. Birla Brothers Pvt. Ltd, has sent a legal notice, dated October 3, to the makers of Chakravyuh raising objection to the following lines from the song….Birla ho ya Tata, Ambani ho ya Bata, sabne apne chakkar mein desh to hai kaata.
The notice has been sent to Prakash Jha, Chakravyuh’s writer-director, producer Sunil Lulla, songwriter A. M. Turaz, the song composer Vijay Verma and its singer Kailash Kher.
The notice also wants the filmmakers to remove the objectionable portions of the song within 48 hours along with publishing an unconditional apology in the media.
Chakravyuh releases on October 24.
