Betting Bangarraju Movie Review
Betting Bagarraju is comic movie revolving around Bangarraju who has the knack of winning any bet on anything.
In a coastal village lives Bangarraju (Naresh) and he is the son of a village elder. He is a compulsive gambler and with luck always favouring him, he wins all the bets. When there is a proposal for marriage to him, the girl rejects him because he is a gambler.
Then, Bangarraju decides to got the city romance a girl and marry her. He tries roman-tricks with a couple of girls and fails. He chances upon meeting Divya (Nidhi). But she gives a twist to the marriage proposal.
She invites four prospective grooms including Bangarraju to her village so that her parents can select the most suitable groom. The other three are: a Rayalaseema faction leader, a Telangana real-estate tycoon and a NRI chess grandmaster.
The rest of the story narrates how Bangarraju becomes successful in convincing Divya’s family that he is the most suitable husband.
Naresh is good with his now well known style of acting. Nidhi is passable. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Chalapathi Rao, Raghu Babu, Krishna Bhagawan and L B Sriram handle their roles well. Amit, Samrat,i Akshay, Pilla Prasad and Vijay Sai essay their roles with conviction. All others are quite adequate in their roles.
The story totally relies on comic antics and the screenplay dips and drops at a few places. Dialogues are alright. Music has nothing much to write about. Cinematography is good but the sound design could have been better.
This is a complete time-pass movie and can be seen once.
