The producers of Barah Aana have hit upon a novel idea to promote their film. At the end of the show, each of the audience leaving the theatre were given some money which was just barah aana or twelve aanas or 75 paise in line with the title of the film.
The ngift purse also contained a fake Rs 10 with a message by the director printed on the other side. The pictures of the lead actors of Barah Aana and the visiting cards of the producers and director of the film were also kept in the purse.
The names of the cast and crew members were printed on a piece of paper, which was neatly folded and kept in the money bag. Since a part of the film’s plot deals with kidnapping and ransom, the names of the crew members were listed as the victims alongside which were mentioned their occupations and the ransom amount which denoted the fee he/she has been given.
