Music composer Bappi Lahiri, who recently became the first Indian to be on the jury of Grammy Awards, is now all set to make his acting debut on the small screen. He was on TV reality shows as a judge earlier.
Lahiri will be seen in Disney’s new show Ishaan. He will play a Disco King in the children’s show and has lent his voice for an original track titled “D.I.S.C.O.” for the show. The telecast of the show starts from the last week of February.
Lahiri has appeared on the silver screen before and has done a small role in Om Shanti Om and in a cameo in Main Aur Mrs Khanna. He will soon be seen in a big role in a film titled It’s Rocking Dard-e-Disco. His co-stars include Rituparna Sengupta, Sneha Ullal and Aryaman. This comedy film is directed by Ashok Tyagi and produced by Dhumketu Punatar Films and is due for release in summer.
