Balakrishna’s favourite film of NTR
Nandamuri Balakrishna who hit half century today wishes to make century in films that is not too far. Balayya loves all folk movies of his father. ‘Kalasivunte Kaladu Sukham’ is the film of his father he would love to remake now.
In his 36 year old film career, Balayya acted in 91 films. His latest film ‘Simha’ created box-office record by collecting Rs 26 crore 48 lakh in the first week.
There is one dialogue in the film Simha, which goes like: ‘Only we can create or rewrite history’. For that matter Balayya had several box-office records.
He made his debut in 1974 with ‘Tatamma Kala’. After a decade his first film as lead actor, ‘Saahasame Jeevitham’, released. In the next 26 years, Balayya acted in 82 films.
Balayya had started ‘Narthanashala’ remake with Soundarya as Draupadi. Soundarya died in aircrash in 2004 and the project was shelved.
In third year as hero he had six super hit movies. Samarasimha Reddy (1999), Narasimha Naidu (2001) were the huge hits of Balayya. He could not see success in 13 films except Lakshmi Narasimha (2004) after 2001. Balayya was involved in a shootout in real life in 2004.
