Baadshah Movie Review
Director Sreenu Vaitla, who gave a blockbuster hit to Prince Mahesh Babu in the form of Dookudu has teamed up with Jr. NTR to present him as Baadshah, with writers Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan. Interestingly Baadshah movie starts with voice over of Prince Mahesh Babu.
IN AND OUT:
Movie depicts how Jr. NTR becomes Baadshah of Mafia empire, lead by Sadhu Bhai (Kelly Dorge) for whom Dhanraj(Mukhesh Rushi), father of Baadshah(Jr. NTR) works. There were other characters like Victor (Pradeep Rawat) and Crazy Robert (Ashish Vidyarthi) in Mafia Team, where as former is Rival and later is companion to Sadhu Bhai. Moto of Rama Rao character played by Jr. NTR to become Baadshah forms the story line.
Janaki (Kajal Agarwal) rescues Rama Rao (Jr. NTR) from an suicide attempt and there after falls in love with him, which forms another episode of the story. Vennala Kishore has done a decent comedy role and Suhasini played as mother to Jr. NTR. Actor Siddharth played crucial cameo character in the movie.
Director Sreenu Vaitla has special capability of creating fictitious comedy among characters. He and his team of writers has followed same formula that has been tested and proven in earlier movies like Dookudu, Ready, Dhee etc…, characters designed for Brahmanandam and MS Narayana are in the same line and are hilarious. Few satire dialogues were written on Producer Dil Raju films and Actor Siddarth love stories. Director should have done much more research on Mafia backdrop. Though film is showcased in Mafia backdrop, on the screen it looks as routine action movie.
Music by SS Thaman has nothing to mention except Saira Saira song and background score. No catchy lyrics. Production values are high.
Baadshah gives loads of entertainment till the end and lengthy action sequences are a bit let down. Watch it for Jr. NTR, Brahmanandam and MS Narayana.
