AR Rahman to use 3D Light Mapping in concert

A.R. Rahman and MTV’s Iggy have teamed up to present A.R. Rahman’s America show, which will be held in The Nassau Coliseum will be a unique and thrilling theatrical experience and will travel to over 20 major arenas and cities worldwide, including The Forum in Los Angeles, The Patriot Center in Washington DC, American Airlines Arena in Dallas as well as Wembley Arena and O2 in London, to name a few.

AR Rahman is the first artist to incorporate 3D Light Mapping in a stage production, the press note states. AR Rahman is collaborating with creative director Amy Tinkham, who is known for creating live musical concerts for a variety of pop-music icons including Madonna, Paul McCartney and Mariah Carey. Renowned Indian performers Hariharan, Javed Ali, and Naveen Kumar will accompany Rahman.

He will also be performing alongside some of pop music’s most notable musicians, including Taku Hirano, Lionel Ritchie, Fleetwood Mac, John Beasley, Barbara Streisand, James Brown and Miles Davis.
