The Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce and the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce will approach the state government to increase film ticket rates. For the present upper limit of Rs 50 in urban areas, the ticket rate in the theatres could be increased to Rs 70. At least, that is what the film industry is asking. Similarly, the upper limit in rural areas is Rs 25 which the industry wants it to be increased to Rs 50.
To encash the craze that film buffs have for the Rs 160-crore Rajnikant- Aishwarya Rai starrer `Robot’, Mahesh Babu-starrer `Mahesh Kaleja’, Pavan Kalyan starrer `Komaram Puli’ and Jr NTR’S `Brindavanam’ the Telugu film industry has decided to approach the state government to increase film ticket rates.
