The Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce (APFCC) celebrated the World Intellectual Property Day on Thursday. Uday Singh, managing director of MPDA (India), said that all countries should protect IP with robust legislation and law enforcement tools to protect creativity and innovation.
Rajkumar, chairman, Anti-Piracy Video Cell (APVC) said that they are also planning to conduct a competition for short films with more than 50 schools will participate in the competition titled Stop Piracy. He said the active indigenous machinery developed by APVC helped curb Internet piracy and stopped illegal download of films like Racha, Lovely and Ee Rojullo.
Recently, the Telugu Producers Council has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hollywood’s Motion Pictures Association to stop piracy.
