Anurag Kashyap has bought the Hindi remake rights of Ram Charan Teja’s hit film Magadheera directed by SS Rajamouli. This would be third film of the Tollywood director to be remade in Hindi after Vikramarkudu (Rowdy Rathore) and Maryada Ramanna (Son of Sardaar)
The Hindi remake will be produced by Phantom Films which is floated by Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena and Vikramaditya Motwane. The film is likely to be directed by Abhinay Deo while Ranveer Singh is tipped to reprise the role of Ram Charan.
SS Rajamouli said he is not directing the Hindi remake of Magadheera as he has commitments in Tollywood. He is however making his debut in Bollywood with Makkhi, the Hindi dubbed version of the Telugu action-cum-live-action thriller Eega, which is releasing on October 12.
