Anjali renders voice for ‘Chitrangada’
Singing a song by artiste has become a fad these days with many of the artistes are eager to prove their singing talents. The latest addition to the list is Anjali, who is well known as a special songs expert and the heroine who played heroine in ‘Sitamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ opposite Venkatesh. Now Anjali is playing the title role in ‘Chitrangada’ which is being made as a bilingual. The Tamil version of the film was titled ‘Yaarni’. Ashok of ‘Pilla Zamindar’-fame is the director of this thriller comedy movie. The film is jointly produced by Gangapatnam Sridhar and Rehman on the joint banner of Sri Vighnesh Karthik Cinema and Creative Dravidans. The post-production works are in brisk progress for the film. In this film, the heroine Anjali had lent her voice for a song which goes like… ‘Da… Da… Dong… Dong…Dung Chuk… Dung Chuk… Apple Cell Phone… Apple Rateki Vaste… Aashadam Sale lo Audi Car Giftgaa Vaste….’. The song was recorded under the joint musical direction of Selva Ganeshan and Swaminathan. Speaking on the occasion, the producers say, ‘So far, no one had touched this kind of thriller comedy. The entire movie would be very interesting with suspense in its backdrop. The twists in the film will shock the audiences. The song rendered by Anjali would remain a highlight of the movie. Even the Tamil version of the songs was also rendered by her. Anjali is doing a never before character in her career for ‘Chitrangada’. Her characterisation and performance would be a highlight of the movie. After ‘Gitanjali’, Anjali is playing another lady-oriented movie. We shot the film in some beautiful locations in the US as the story demands it. We are planning to launch the audio by March-end and we are making efforts to release the film in April.
