Anjaana Anjaani, as the title suggests, is an unsual romantic story between two strangers who meet in strange circumstances and do more stange things.
By sheer coincidence, two strangers, who live in USA meet on a bridge and both have the intention of jumping to death. One is Akash (Ranbir Kapoor), who considers himself a failure in life and the other Kiara (Priyanka Chopra) suffering from personal problems. They talk to each other and postpone their suicide bid by twenty days. During that period, they decide to live their fantasies. Then starts a journey that is funny, witty, anxious, exhilarating, tearful and sombre. At the end of the twenty days, will they keep their respective promises to commit suicide? The lead to climax answers that question.
Ranbir Kapoor is out-performing himself with every film. He is vibrant and simply adorable. This is his finest performance till date though he is just half a dozen films old. Priyanka Chopra is vivacious and also gives out her best. The two electrify the screen with their spontaneous chemistry.
A straight forward story superbly interlinked with interesting episodes coupled with a no-let-up screenplay makes the film eminently watchable. The dialogues are meaningful. The music is good. Cinematography is truly vibrant.
The film is worth watching for its unique story and superb performances by Ranbir and Priyanka.
