Several directors who gave a big hit or blockbuster with their debut film, fared badly and tasted the flops in their second film. The list of directors include Karunakaran, Teja, Puri Jagannath, VV Vinayak, Dasarath, Sukumar, Surender Reddy, Krish, Santosh Srinivas, Nandini Reddy, Praveen Sattaru, Sudhir Varma, Prabhakar Reddy and so on. However, there are few directors who had come out of the second film hitch successfully. They include SS Rajamouli, Srikanth Addala, Koratala Siva and Merlapaka Gandhi. Now, another name could be included…. i.e., Anil Ravipudi. He made his debut through ‘Pataas’ of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. His second film ‘Supreme’ had hit the screens recently. Dil Raju had produced the movie while Sai Dharam Tej played the hero. Several critics in the media claimed that the film is a decent entertainer causing no boredom at any point of time. As there was good chemistry between the hero and the heroine Raasi Khanna, the very normal climax did not bother the audiences in any manner. Especially, there was a talk that the director had succeeded in moulding the film as a mass entertainer and thereby crossed the second film hitch very easily.
