Anees Bazmee to remake “The Hangover”

The Hollywood film “The Hangover” directed by Todd Phillips starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis is a raunchy comedy and a big hit worldwide. This film is a Las Vegas-set comedy deals with three buddies who lose their about-to-be-wed friend during their drunken misadventures and then try to retrace the events in order to find him.

Zee films have taken the Hindi remake rights of “The Hangover” and will produce the Hindi version jointly with Firoz Nadiadwala. This untitled remake will be directed by Annes Bazmee.

Abhishek Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal, and Ritesh Deshmukh comprise the star cast in the Hindi remake.

Though Bollywood is known for lifting plots from Hollywood films, this is the first time a legitimate Hindi remake of an English film is being made after officially purchasing the rights.
