Amitabh Bachchan, perhaps buoyed by the success of his English film The Last Lear, has finally consented to act in international films. He recently posted on his blog about these developments.
The 2006 Oscar-winning documentary March of the Penguin directed by Luc Jacquet is about Antartica’s emperor Penguins, had earned 77 million USD at the US box office. Amitabh has lent his voice to this film.
The makers of the film have offered a role to Amitabh in their forthcoming Indo-French film, which he accepted. Work on this project will start next year.
Amitabh also said in his blog that he also got an offer from the writer of Taxi Driver and Raging Bull from Hollywood and he would decide after scrutiny of the script.
