The Performances

Ravi Babu and Gadde Sindhura are convincing in their roles as police officers.

The real surprise package is Tarakaratna who acquits himself well in the role of a hypnotizing villain. Sneha is good. Bhoomika and Kota Srinivasa Rao do well in their cameos. Paruchuri Gopalakrishna and Kasi Viswanath are OK. All others are adequate in their roles.

The Techniques

Belonging to a suspense thriller genre Amaravathi has a new theme and novelty of execution. Screenplay gives the necessary suspense to the narration. Cinematography by Sudhakar Reddy is of high quality.

Background score by Sekhar Chandra enhances the narration values. There are no songs or dances in the film. Production values are good.

The Verdict

Amaravathi is not a mainstream film with song-and-dance sequences and romance; thus it may not appeal to the regular mass audience. This film will appeal to multiplex audience and to those cine-buffs who like horror/thriller films.
