Amala Akkineni faced the camera after a long long time for Sekhar Kammula’s Life Is Beautiful which is releasing this week on September 14. She says that this is just an one-off film.
The actress maintains that she is not making a comeback and she is comfortable as a homemaker. But, she agreed to do this film because, Sekhar Kammula had specifically wanted a mature actor to play a single mother and he thought Amala would fit the role as she was away from the screen for the last 20 years after she married Nagarjuna in 1992.
Those in college now might not have seen Amala on screen, unless some who might be old film buffs. Amala had shot only for seven days for Life Is Beautiful..
Sekhar Kammula signed up all newbies for the film, but the necessary glamour and emotional content will be from Amala Akkineni, Shriya Saran and Anjala Jhaveri.
