The shooting of the film titled Thimmaraju with the tagline Maa Team Leader with comedian Ali as hero is being conducted in and around Hyderabad. The film is being produced jointly by Puli Ratnam and KSS Kumar under the banner of Sri Films Productions and directed by Vemagiri.

The star cast of this film includes Chinna, Deepti, LB Sriram, MS Narayana, Jeeva, Suman Shetty, Venu, Dhanaraj, Vennela Kishore and others.
