Actual Reason Behind the Postponed of Movie ‘Phantom’

Phantom which starrers Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif, the film unit has revealed the reason behind that it is very similar to the Akshay Kumar-starrer and Neeraj Pandey directed Baby that released last week.
Phantom is all about post-26/11 attacks in Mumbai and global terrorism which is quite similar to Baby. So the team has decided not to release it so close to Baby. They are hoping that the audiences will be more willing to see Phantom when is a big gap between the releases.
Earlier, this happened before to Katrina Kaif and director Kabir Khan with New York. The film’s subject was similar to Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan-starrer Kurbaan. But at the time it was Kurbaan which was affected as New York released in June 2009 while Kurbaan released on November 2009. This time around Kabir and Katrina’s film seem to be the one in trouble. While Saif Ali Khan unfortunately is in the same position as before with his film releasing late and stands at risk of being compared to the original. But PK is also similar with another film (OMG) and still break records at the box-office so maybe all will be well.
