The director duo of Abbas-Mustan have finally signed Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor for the remake of The Italian Job. A crew of 90 to 100 people will be flying from India to New Zealand for a 50-day period of shooting, which will kick-start at the end of the year. The project will have a massive budget of Rs 140 crores. The directors Abbas-Mustan say that no compromises will be made, to make sure the remake is as good as the original.
The film is an official adaptation of the 2003 Hollywood film, starring Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron, which itself was the remake of the 1969 British film by the same name, with Michael Caine in the lead.
