Hrishikesh Mukherji’s classic cult film Chupke Chupke which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra is to be remade with a contemporary touch. The remake will be jointly produced by Sohail Maklai and Vishvaas Paandya under the banner of White Stripes. The script for the remake is being written by Rumy Jaffrey and it will be directed by David Dhawan.
What is interesting in this remake is that the lead roles will be played by Abhishek Bachchan and Bobby Deol sons of Amitabh and Dharmendra respectively. What is more, both Amitabh and Dharmendra will also be seen in the film in cameos.
Pre-production work is in progress and the rest of the cast and crew are being finalised. The remake of Chupke Chupke is likely to go on floors in a couple of months.
