Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have swung into action to support the demands of Bollywood producers and distributors in their stand-off with Multi-Plex exhibitors.
The producers-cum-distributors (United Producers+Distributors Forum) has announced their decision against screening any new film at multiplexes from 4th April onwards.
However, it looks like that the strike is for a limited period and the flow of new releases will recommence from May Day onwards. But, the strike called by the United PD Forum is for an indefinite period. The standoff continues with no solution in sight as of now.
The Forum has decided to sit together and chalk out the release dates. Right now, all release dates are uncertain till the United Forum calls off the strike.
Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, who are actors, producers and distributors are championing the rule of equitable share of 50:50 between producers+distributors and multi-plex exhibitors.
