Superstar Aamir Khan must realize that he can’t win at every stage and battle. The perfectionist Bollywood star was recently seen at the third edition of Maharashtra Chess League, and did get a chance to play a game of chess with the legendary Vishwanathan Anand. Though Aamir looked very engrossed in the game, he was finally outplayed by Anand in a short time.
However, it’s quite commendable that a star with such a mass appeal is taking interest to promote Chess, which was a game that was played in Indian since ages. As against tennis and cricket which have the glamour quotient attached to them, we hope that Aamir’s interest in the game would make it popular among the common man in India. Aamir was always interested in Chess and said that it was his dream to play with Anand.
Talking about him, we need to add that his superhit film PK was recently dubbed and released in China, and went to become the highest grossing Indian film ($5.3 Million and still going) in China in just a few days of its release. He is to be seen in an upcoming film Dangal, where he plays the role of a wrestler.
