Aamir Khan in Priyadarshan’s film on AIDS
Director Priyadarshan, who won a National Award for his “Kanchivaram” has now roped in Aamir Khan for his next realistic film on AIDS. He narrated the story to Aamir who immediately accepted the proposal.
Work on the full script is now in progress and the film will go on floors as soon as Aamir Khan gives his dates. At the moment, he is busy with “3 Idiots”.
AIDS is still a theme that is not favoured in Bollywood. However, South Indian filmmaker Revathy and Onir had explored the subject in their films ‘Phir Milenge’ and ‘My Brother Nikhil’
While “Phir Milenge” had a star cast of Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan, “My Brother Nikhil” starred Sanjay Suri, Juhi Chawla and Purab Kohli.
