Aamir and Salman offered 33% of profit by YRF

Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have been roped in by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films by offering them 33% of the profits the films make. This is a new trend in Bollywood.

First Aamir Khan was signed up to play the villain in Dhoom 3 and to lure him YRF offered to pay the one-third per cent profit which is expected to be anywhere between Rs 50 to 65 crore.

The same mantra has been used to sign up Salman Khan for another film which will be directed by Kabir Khan of New York fame.

In fact, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar have also stopped taking fixed remuneration and they have become co-producers sharing profits.

Bollywood analysts believe that sharing of profits by top stars started by YRF may become a trend setter.
