6 cameras used in synch to shoot Ragini MMS

Director of Photography Tribhuvan Babu used 6 cameras simultaneously to shoot the film Ragini MMS.

Each camera was specifically picked to ensure larger depth of field. Of the six cameras, five Canon 7Ds, 1 Handycam, and 1 Ari-elexa were used. Moreover, each camera was formatted so as to ensure organic unity in terms of the contrast value and colour renditions. Though six cams were rolling simultaneously, no camera was caught the other in the frame. The entire film was shot in a record-breaking 25 days. With over 2.5 Terabytes of footage, a team of editors are working on the final print.

Ragini MMS is produced jointly by Ekta Kapoor’s Alt Entertainment and Sid Jain’s iRock. Pavan Kripalani is making his debut as director.

The film is due for release in Hindi and Telugu on May 13
