A huge set was erected by art director Murali Kondeti on a landscape of around 27 acres with some 120 plus huts & houses for the film Gundello Godari which is being produced by Lakshmi Manchu and directed by debutant Kumar Nagendra.
The unique feature of the set is that it is created with eco-friendly materials. The set also reflects the ethos of the 1980s as the film deals with the floods of river Godavari during that period. In the film the entire set would be washed away in floodwaters and so the eco-friendly material will not cause any harm to those living in the surroundings.
The film stars Aadhi Pinisetti, Taapsee, Lakshmi Prasanna, Sundeep Kishan and others. Tapsee will look like a typical rural girl with two plaits and half saree. Music for the film is composed by Maestro Ilayaraja.
Gundello Godari is a bilingual film simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil.
