“1940 lo Oka Gramam” wins Best Film Award

The Telugu film “1940 lo Oka Gramam” has won the National Award for Best Regional Film (Telugu) for the year 2008.
The film was directed by Narasimha Nandi and produced by Nandireddy Narasimha Reddy and Juvvisetti Sriravamma under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Cinema with Baladitya and Sri in the lead. Saketh Sairam scored the music.
The film dealt with the caste and creed conflicts along with the refusal of independence to the women in the society that existed prior to Independence.
“1940 lo Oka Gramam” has also won the AP State Nandi Award for the Best Film on National Integration.
