Freida Pinto, who shot into instant fame after her debut in Oscar winning film “Slumdog Millionaire”, migrated to Hollywood seeking greener pastures in her acting career. She did get some roles, but she is now eyeing Bollywood.
In a public announcement, Freida expressed her wish to be directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, three-time National Award winner, who made films like “Chandini Bar”, “Page 3”, “Fashion” among others.
Responding to Freida’s wish, Bhandarkar stated that “He would love to work with Freida”. The director worked with stars like Tabu, Konkana Sharma and Priyanka Chopra.
Bhandarkar is at present shooting for “Jail” with Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mugdha Godse.
