‘Bang Bang’ opened with huge collections at the Box office

Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer was much hyped and the film was released on October 2. This film opened to a huge response and collected Rs. 27.54 crore on its first day and it became the fifth biggest opener of all times.
It was expected that this film will be record breaker. It overcomes Hrithik’s previous hit ‘Krrish 3’ first day collection of Rs. 22.50 crores. But this film though released on a holiday, failed to surpass ‘Singham Returns’. This film featuring Ajay Devgan remained the year’s biggest opener with Rs. 32.09 crore. ‘Bang Bang’ drifted Salman Khan’s film ‘Kick’ which collected Rs. 26.40 crores, to the third position in terms of first day collection of 2014. Aamir Khan’s ‘Dhoom 3’ still occupies the first position while SRK’s “Chennai Express’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ holds the second and third position respectively.
Before the release of ‘Bang Bang’ all the eyes were set on this film. It was also much buzzed film right from the beginning. This film was released in more than 5,100 theatres across India and also in other 50 countries including screens in US, UK and the Middle East. As there is a long weekend including holidays, so it is expected that ‘Bang Bang’ will definitely create sensation.
